Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Amendment Regulations 2024

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Amendment Regulations 2024 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Regulations 2021 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Administrative Decisions and Eligible Persons)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:

(a) by inserting "and (4)" after "49(3)" in column 3 of item 11 in Part 1 ;

(b) by omitting "(1)" from column 3 of item 17 in Part 1 and substituting "(2)";

(c) by omitting Part 2 and substituting the following Part:

PART 2 - Administrative decisions under the Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) Regulations 2024

Item	Decision	Relevant provision	Eligible person
1.	A decision of the Commission to refuse to grant an application for a permit	Regulation 38(4)	The person whose application has been refused
2.	A decision of the Commission to impose conditions on a permit	Regulation 39(2)	The person whose application has been approved subject to conditions

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Regulations 2021 by updating certain references consequential upon the making of the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2021 and the Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) Regulations 2024 .
