Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Amendment Regulations 2017

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Amendment Regulations 2017 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which the Vehicle and Traffic Amendment (Probationary Licences) Act 2017 commences.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Regulations 2010 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Administrative Decisions and Eligible Persons)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting item 1 from in Part 1 and substituting:

1. 

A decision of the Registrar to make a novice driver or novice rider subject to a novice case management program

Regulation 14(2)

The novice driver or novice rider

1A. 

A decision of the Registrar in respect of the content of a novice case management program

Regulation 14(4)

The novice driver or novice rider who is subject to the novice case management program

1B. 

A decision of the Registrar to refuse an application for the issue or renewal of a driver licence

Regulation 22(1) , (8) and (9) R egulation 31(1)

The person whose application has been refused

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Review of Decisions) Regulations 2010 by making certain decisions by the Registrar, in respect of the novice case management program, reviewable.
