Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2014
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .

These regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2014 .
These regulations take effect on 1 July 2014.
In these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by inserting "within the meaning of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Tasmania) Act 2013 " after "(Tasmania)" in the definition of HVNL ;(b) by omitting " Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2001 " from the definition of VSR and substituting " Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2014 ".
5. Regulation 26E amended (Installation of interlock)
Regulation 26E(4) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting " Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2001 " from paragraph (b) of the definition of pre-installation report and substituting " Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2014 ".
6. Schedule 2 amended (Demerit Points Offences)
Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting item 169 from the table in Part 3 .
