Residential Tenancy Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2011
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 .

These regulations may be cited as the Residential Tenancy Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2011 .
These regulations take effect on 1 January 2012.
In these regulations, the Residential Tenancy Regulations 2005 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 5 amended (Infringement notice offences and penalties)
Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (5) .
5. Schedule 2 amended (Infringement Notice Offences and Penalties)
Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after item 7 the following item:

These regulations amend the Residential Tenancy Regulations 2005 by (a) prescribing the failure to pay a security deposit to specified persons as an infringement notice offence; and(b) effecting minor statute law revision.
