Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2005
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 .

These regulations may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2005 .
These regulations take effect on the seventh day after the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Fees)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting items 1 and 2 and substituting the following:

Issue of a learner licence

Issue or renewal of a driver licence (other than a learner licence)

(a) in the case where the applicant for or holder of the licence is a pensioner, a person with a severe disability, or the parent or guardian of a person with a severe disability who has not attained the age of 16 years, and the licence is issued or renewed for:
(i) 12 months

(b) in any other case where the licence is issued or renewed for

(a) if the licence is issued only for the balance of the term of the earlier licence

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 by increasing the fees payable for (a) the issue or renewal of certain licences; and(b) the issue of a duplicate or replacement driver licence.
