Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act (No. 2) 2009
An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations
[Royal Assent 12 November 2009]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act (No. 2) 2009 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
(1) The staged repeals of the regulations specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 that, but for this section, were to have been effected on the respective dates specified in column 2 of that Schedule are postponed until 1 January 2011.(2) Subsection (1) does not prevent any of the regulations specified in Schedule 1 from being rescinded before 1 January 2011.(3) In this section staged repeals means repeals effected by section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 .
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Primary Industries and Water; and(b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment.
This Act expires on 2 January 2011.
