Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2000
An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations
[Royal Assent 13 December 2000]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2000 .
This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3. Commercial and Inquiry Agents Regulations 1975
The repeal of the Commercial and Inquiry Agents Regulations 1975 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2002.
4. Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Regulations 1974
The repeal of the Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Regulations 1974 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2002.
The repeal of the Justices Rules 1976 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2002.
The repeal of the Police Regulations 1974 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2003.
7. Racing and Gaming Regulations 1976
The repeal of the Racing and Gaming Regulations 1976 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2002.
This Act expires on 2 January 2003.
Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources; and(b) the department responsible to the Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources.
