EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2000 so as to provide that certain exemptions from vehicle registration under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 do not lapse in the case of a vehicle –(a) that is not being used for a commercial purpose; and(b) that is being operated by a person who has a residential address, or ordinarily resides, in a place other than Tasmania.
