State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 4) 2026

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Premier, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 4) 2026 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 8 October 2026.

3.   Amalgamations with the Commission for Children and Young People

(1)  The part of the Department for Education, Children and Young People that is responsible for the Commissioner for Children and Young People is amalgamated with the Commission for Children and Young People.

(2)  The part of the Department of Justice that is responsible for the Office of the Independent Regulator is amalgamated with the Commission for Children and Young People.
