Proclamation under the Local Government Amendment (Targeted Reform) Act 2026

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 2 of the Local Government Amendment (Targeted Reform) Act 2026 fix 1 September 2026 as the day on which the provisions of that Act, other than the following provisions, commence:

(a) section 4 (a) and (e);

(b) sections 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26;

(c) Part 3.
