Legal Profession (Solicitors' Conduct) Amendment Rules 2026

The Council of the Law Society of Tasmania makes the following rules under section 221 of the Legal Profession Act 2007 .

1.   Short title

These rules may be cited as the Legal Profession (Solicitors' Conduct) Amendment Rules 2026 .

2.   Commencement

These rules take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Rules

In these rules, the Legal Profession (Solicitors' Conduct) Rules 2020 are referred to as the Principal Rules.

4.   

The amendment effected by this rule has been incorporated into the authorised version of the Legal Profession (Solicitors' Conduct) Rules 2020 .

These rules were made by the Law Society of Tasmania at a meeting held on 6 May 2026.
