I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Premier, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 6) 2022 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 1 October 2022.

3.   Amalgamations

(1)  The part of the Department of Treasury and Finance known as Renewables, Climate and Future Industries Tasmania is amalgamated with the Department of State Growth.
(2)  The following parts of the Department of Communities Tasmania are amalgamated with the Department for Education, Children and Young People:
(a) the Office of Commissioner for Children and Young People;
(b) the part known as Children, Youth and Families;
(c) the Tasmanian Autism Diagnostic Service;
(d) the Inquiry Support Unit;
(e) the Child Advocate.
(3)  The part of the Department of Communities Tasmania known as the Board of Exceptional Needs is amalgamated with the Department of Health.
(4)  The following parts of the Department of Communities Tasmania are amalgamated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet:
(a) the Tasmanian Community Fund;
(b) the part known as Community and Disability Services.
