Witness (Identity Protection) (Corresponding Laws) Regulations 2021
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Witness (Identity Protection) Act 2006 .

These regulations may be cited as the Witness (Identity Protection) (Corresponding Laws) Regulations 2021 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations Act means the Witness (Identity Protection) Act 2006 .
For the purposes of the definition of corresponding law in section 3(1) of the Act, the following laws of other jurisdictions are declared to correspond to the Act:(a) Crimes (Protection of Witness Identity) Act 2011 of the Australian Capital Territory;(b) Part IACA of the Crimes Act 1914 of the Commonwealth;(c) Witness Protection Act 1994 of the Commonwealth;(d) Part 4 of the Police (Special Investigative and Other Powers) Act 2015 of the Northern Territory;(e) Division 5 of Part 2 of the Evidence Act 1977 of Queensland;(f) Part 4 of the Criminal Investigation (Covert Operations) Act 2009 of South Australia;(g) Part IIAA of the Evidence (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1958 of Victoria;(h) Part 4 of the Criminal Investigation (Covert Powers) Act 2012 of Western Australia.
The legislation specified in Schedule 1 is rescinded.
