Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) Infringement Regulations 2021

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) Act 2010 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) Infringement Regulations 2021 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Infringement offences

For the purposes of section 25 of the Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) Act 2010  –
(a) an offence against a provision of the Australian Consumer Law (Tasmania) that is specified in column 2 of the table in Schedule 1 is an infringement offence; and
(b) the penalty specified in column 3 of that table in respect of an infringement offence is prescribed as the penalty payable under an infringement notice issued and served for that offence.
