Tasmanian Health Service Regulations 2018

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Tasmanian Health Service Act 2018 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Tasmanian Health Service Regulations 2018 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 1 July 2018.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations –

Act means the Tasmanian Health Service Act 2018 .

4.   Prescribed functions of THS

For the purposes of section 17(j) of the Act, it is a function of the THS to assist patients, and their escorts, to travel to and from, and be accommodated at, places at which, or in the vicinity of which, the patients are to receive health services.

5.   Service plan for 2018-2019

[Regulation 5 Inserted by S.R. 2018, No. 92, Applied:26 Dec 2018] The document, entitled Service Plan, signed by the Minister on 9 November 2018, is taken to be, and to have been since 1 July 2018, the service plan for the 2018-2019 financial year.
