State Service (Departmental Name Change) Order 2016

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council , make the following order under section 11(1) of the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the State Service (Departmental Name Change) Order 2016 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 4 April 2016.

3.   Change of name of Government department

The name of the Government department known as the Department of Police and Emergency Management is changed to the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
