Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of National Park and give the name Tasman National Park to that reserved land; and
(b) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Area of land
All that area of land –
(a) comprising about 30.11 hectares, shown as Lot 1 (and including any adjacent offshore rocks, reefs and islands) and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 9386 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation; and
(b) comprising –
(i) about 24.57 hectares, shown as Lot 1 (and including any adjacent offshore rocks, reefs and islands); and
(ii) about 3.982 hectares, shown as Lot 2 (and including any adjacent offshore rocks, reefs and islands); and
(iii) about 4.361 hectares, shown as Lot 3 (and including any adjacent offshore rocks, reefs and islands) –
bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 9387 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
