Proclamation under the Corrections Act 1997

I, the Administrator in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 9(1) of the Corrections Act 1997  –

(a) declare that the premises described in Schedule 1 to this proclamation cease to be a prison; and
(b) declare that the place described in Schedule 2 to this proclamation ceases to be a prison; and
(c) revoke the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 2010, No. 38; and
(d) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Hayes Prison Farm
Those premises (not including Lot 1) comprising about 588.9 hectares, shown as Lot 2 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8896 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 3 to this proclamation.
SCHEDULE 2 - Land part of former Kilderry Farm Gaol
The place comprising about 3.822 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 9450 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 4 to this proclamation.
