Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Central Plateau Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(b) the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Central Plateau Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(c) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Clarence River Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(d) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Doughboy Island Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(e) the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name East Moncoeur Island Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(f) the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Flowerdale River Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(g) the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Harcus Island Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(h) the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Narrawa Road Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(i) the Crown land specified in Part 9 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Roger River Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(j) the Crown land specified in Part 10 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Sheepwash Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(k) the Crown land specified in Part 11 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Simpsons Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(l) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land

PART 1 - Central Plateau Conservation Area (First Extension)

All that area of land comprising about 9.821 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7502 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 2 - Central Plateau Conservation Area (Second Extension)

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 115.2 hectares, shown as Lot 1 (in 3 parts); and
(b) about 654.2 hectares, shown as Lot 2; and
(c) about 119.5 hectares, shown as Lot 3 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 9316 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 3 - Clarence River Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 15.73 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7623 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 4 - Doughboy Island Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 16.77 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7871 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 5 - East Moncoeur Island Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 16.15 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7808 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 6 - Flowerdale River Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 7.002 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and
(b) about 10.7 hectares, shown as Lot 2 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 6925 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 7 - Harcus Island Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 17.3 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8013 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 8 - Narrawa Road Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 15.56 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7570 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 8 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 9 - Roger River Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 21.65 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6982 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 9 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 10 - Sheepwash Bay Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 14.19 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 9313 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 10 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 11 - Simpsons Bay Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 117.7 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 9314 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 11 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
