Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Badger Spur Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(b) the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Big Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(c) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Fotheringate Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(d) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Great Lake Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(e) the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Great Lake Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(f) the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Hastings Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(g) the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Kangaroo Island Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(h) the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Marshall Beach Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(i) the Crown land specified in Part 9 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name McDonalds Point Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(j) the Crown land specified in Part 10 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Red Hut Point Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(k) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land

PART 1 - Badger Spur Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 147.1 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7519 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 2 - Big Bay Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 248.3 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8143 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 3 - Fotheringate Bay Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 124.1 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7881 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 4 - Great Lake Conservation Area (First Extension)

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 73.61 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and
(b) about 60.50 hectares, shown as Lot 2; and
(c) about 2.594 hectares, shown as Lot 3; and
(d) about 8.836 hectares, shown as Lot 4 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7511 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 5 - Great Lake Conservation Area (Second Extension)

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 7.428 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and
(b) about 8.326 hectares, shown as Lot 2 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7512 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 6 - Hastings Bay Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 131.9 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and
(b) about 19.28 hectares, shown as Lot 2 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7313 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 7 - Kangaroo Island Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 170.2 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8010 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 8 - Marshall Beach Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 192.4 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8018 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 8 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 9 - McDonalds Point Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising –

(a) about 165.76 hectares, shown as Lot 1; and
(b) about 4.488 hectares, shown as Lot 2 –

bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7722 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 9 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 10 - Red Hut Point Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 194 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 6778 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 10 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
