Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 21(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) that the area of Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation, being an area of reserved land known as Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve, ceases to be reserved land; and
(b) that the area of Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation, being an area of reserved land known as Nine Pin Point Marine Nature Reserve, ceases to be reserved land; and
(c) the area of Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(d) the area of Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Ninepin Point Marine Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(e) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Reserved land
PART 1 - Revoked Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve
All that area of land comprising about –
(a) 7.385 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 7324 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation; and
(b) 53 hectares, shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 2185 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Revoked Nine Pin Point Marine Nature Reserve
All that area of land comprising about 59 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 2186 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 3 - New Tinderbox Marine Nature Reserve
All that area of land comprising about 144.1 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8626 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 4 - New Ninepin Point Marine Nature Reserve
All that area of land comprising about 731.8 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 8627 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
