National Parks and Reserves Management (Rosny Hill Nature Recreation Area - Managing Authority) Order 2009

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and with the consent of the Clarence City Council, make the following order under section 29(2) of the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the National Parks and Reserves Management (Rosny Hill Nature Recreation Area - Managing Authority) Order 2009 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Managing authority

(1)  Clarence City Council is declared to be the managing authority for the relevant land.

(2)  For the purposes of this clause, the relevant land is the area of land known as the Rosny Hill Nature Recreation Area, being an area of land that –

(a) was reserved for the purposes of public recreation, amusement and land conservation by Order No. 147 of 1979 under section 8 of the Crown Lands Act 1976 ; and

(b) on the commencement of the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 , was taken to have been declared under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area; and

(c) on the commencement of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 , was taken to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area under that Act.

(3)  The relevant land is specified in Schedule 1 to this order.

SCHEDULE 1 - Rosny Hill Nature Recreation Area

Clause 3

All that area of land comprising about 21.4 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 4691 in the Central Plan Register and known as the Rosny Hill Nature Recreation Area, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this Order.
