Proclamation under the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the petition of the Brighton Council, by this my proclamation made under section 198 of the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993  –

(a) declare that the land declared to be a restricted supply water district and named the Cove Hill Restricted Supply Water District in Statutory Rules 1996, No. 20 ceases to be a water district; and
(b) declare the land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be a restricted supply water district; and
(c) give the name Cove Hill Restricted Supply Water District to that restricted supply water district; and
(d) declare the land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be a water district; and
(e) give the name Cove Hill Water District to that water district; and
(f) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Specified land
PART 1 - Cove Hill Restricted Supply Water District
All that area of land in the municipal area of Brighton comprising about 582.6 hectares as indicated by dots on Plan 8564 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Cove Hill Water District
All that area of land in the municipal area of Brighton comprising about 36.55 hectares as indicated by hatches on Plan 8564 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
