Proclamation under the Legal Profession Act 2007

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 661(1) of the Legal Profession Act 2007  –

(a) repeal the provisions of the Legal Profession Act 1993 listed in column 1 of the following table to the extent specified in column 2 of that table:

Omit "a liquidator appointed in the circumstances referred to in subparagraph (iii),"

Section 108(2)(a)(iii)

Omit the provision

Section 108(2A)

Omit the provision

Section 111(1)(d)

Omit the provision

Section 116(3A)

Omit "a liquidator appointed in the circumstances referred to in section 108(2)(a)(iii) or"

(b) declare that this proclamation takes effect on 9 April 2008.
