Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Wye River Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(b) the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Bernafai Ridge Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(c) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Reynolds Falls Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(d) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Great Western Tiers Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(e) the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Meredith Range Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and
(f) the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Mount Heemskirk Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and
(g) the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Mount Murchison Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and
(h) the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of regional reserve and give the name Savage River Regional Reserve to that reserved land; and
(i) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land

PART 1 - Wye River Conservation Area

All those areas of land comprising about 388 hectares and 40 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and Lot 2 respectively and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 6892 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 2 - Bernafai Ridge Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 357 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6893 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 3 - Reynolds Falls Nature Recreation Area

All that area of land comprising about 1 606 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6894 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 4 - Great Western Tiers Conservation Area

All that area of land comprising about 367 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6895 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 5 - Meredith Range Regional Reserve

All those areas of land comprising about –

(a) 937 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6897 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 ; and
(b) 1 995 hectares, shown as Lot 2 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6898 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 ; and
(c) 427 hectares, shown as Lot 3 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6899 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 ; and
(d) 1 262 hectares, shown as Lot 4 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6900 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 8 of Schedule 2 .

PART 6 - Mount Heemskirk Regional Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 328 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6901 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 9 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 7 - Mount Murchison Regional Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 1 736 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6902 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 10 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 8 - Savage River Regional Reserve

All that area of land comprising 1 417 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6903 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 11 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
