Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 17(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the reserved land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation, that immediately before this proclamation takes effect was reserved land in the class of conservation area, to be reserved land in the class of State reserve and give the name Logan Lagoon State Reserve to that reserved land; and
(b) the reserved land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation, that immediately before this proclamation takes effect was reserved land in the class of conservation area, to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Dry Creek South Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(c) the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Ironpot Gully Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(d) the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Dead Dog Hill Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(e) the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Powranna Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(f) the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Dry Creek West Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(g) the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Tom Gibson Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(h) the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Mersey Hill Karst Nature Reserve to that reserved land; and
(i) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of land

PART 1 - Logan Lagoon State Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 71.55 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 6200 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 2 - Dry Creek South Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 121.4 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 6197 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 3 - Ironpot Gully Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 913.0 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5622 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 4 - Dead Dog Hill Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 40.46 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5621 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 5 - Powranna Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 276.8 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5620 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 6 - Dry Creek West Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 202.0 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5624 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 7 - Tom Gibson Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 355.5 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5619 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 7 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.

PART 8 - Mersey Hill Karst Nature Reserve

All that area of land comprising about 41.75 hectares and shown as Lot 1 bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 6201 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out by way of illustration only, in Part 8 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
