Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 14(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970  –

(a) declare the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Jacksons Cove Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(b) declare the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Palana Beach Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(c) declare the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Killiecrankie Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(d) declare the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Low Point Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(e) declare the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Mount Tanner Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(f) declare the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature recreation area and give the name Emita Nature Recreation Area to that reserved land; and
(g) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land
PART 1 - Jacksons Cove Conservation Area
All that land comprising about 157.4 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5989 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Palana Beach Nature Recreation Area
All that land comprising about 59.92 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5990 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 3 - Killiecrankie Nature Recreation Area
All that land comprising about 844.3 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5991 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 4 - Low Point Conservation Area
All that land comprising about 220.6 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5992 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 4 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 5 - Mount Tanner Conservation Area
All that land comprising about 4 427 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5948 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 5 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 6 - Emita Nature Recreation Area
All that land comprising about 128 hectares shown bounded as indicated by a heavy black line on Plan 5993 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included by way of illustration only, in Part 6 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
