Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 14(1) and 16(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 declare –

(a) the areas of Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name Rocky Cape National Park to that reserved land; and
(b) that the area of Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation, being an area of land within reserved land known as Rocky Cape National Park, ceases to form part of that reserved land; and
(c) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of Land
PART 1 - Rocky Cape National Park
All those areas of land comprising about 6 647 square metres and 3.790 hectares, shown as Lot 2 and Lot 3 and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 5768 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Excised Area – Rocky Cape National Park
All that area of land comprising about 1.768 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 5768 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
