Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and with the approval of each House of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under section 15A(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970  –

(a) declare the reserved land previously declared to be a conservation area by Statutory Rules 1995, No. 140 and specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park; and
(b) give the name Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park to that reserved land; and
(c) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park
All that area of land comprising about 239.5 hectares shown as Lot 1 on Plan Number 5093 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
