Proclamation under the Roads and Jetties Act 1935
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 7 of the Roads and Jetties Act 1935
1 June 1998(a) declare that the portion of road specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation ceases to be a State highway for the purposes of Part II of that Act; and(b) declare that the Blow Hole Tourist Road, the Tasmans Arch Tourist Road and the tourist road specified in Schedule 3 to the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1993, No. 115 cease to be subsidiary roads for the purposes of Part II of that Act; and(c) declare that the portion of road specified in Schedule 2 to this proclamation ceases to be a subsidiary road for the purposes of Part II of that Act; and(d) amend the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1970, No. 67 as follows:(i) by omitting from the first schedule to that proclamation the item relating to the Arthur Highway and substituting the following item:

From the Tasman Highway at the junction of Gordon Street and Cole Street, Sorell to the junction with Stewarts Bay Road, Port Arthur via Forcett, Copping, Dunalley, Eaglehawk Neck, Taranna and Oakwood

(ii) by omitting from Part II of the second schedule to that proclamation the item relating to the Nubeena Secondary Road and substituting the following item:
Nubeena Secondary Road
From the Arthur Highway at a point 0.14 kilometres south of the Allans Creek Bridge, Taranna to the junction with Littles Road near Premaydena, via Koonya and Premaydena

(iii) by omitting from Part III of the second schedule to that proclamation the items relating to the Blow Hole Tourist Road and the Tasmans Arch Tourist Road; and(e) revoke the proclamations notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1982, No. 170 and Statutory Rules 1993, No. 115; and(f) declare that this proclamation takes effect on 30 June 1998.
