Tasmanian State Service (Restructuring) Order 1998

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 24 of the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Tasmanian State Service (Restructuring) Order 1998 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 6 May 1998.

3.   Department of Education, Training, Community and Cultural Development

(1)  The name of the Government department known as the Department of Education, Community and Cultural Development is changed to the Department of Education, Training, Community and Cultural Development.

(2)  The Department of Vocational Education and Training is amalgamated with the Department of Education, Training, Community and Cultural Development.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
