Inland Fisheries (Inland Waters) Order 1997

I make the following order under section 5 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 with the agreement of the Minister responsible for the administration of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Inland Waters) Order 1997 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

In this order,

Act means the Inland fisheries Act 1995 ;

4.   Inland waters

The following are inland waters for the purpose of the Act:

(a) [Clause 4 Amended by S.R. 2020, No. 47, Applied:22 Jul 2020] waters that are to the landward of the seaward limits of rivers specified in the order made, and in force, under section 6(1) of the Act;

(b) waters that are to the landward of the seaward limit of a river referred to in section 6(3) of the Act.
