Inland Fisheries (Destruction of Controlled Fish) Order 1996

I make the following order under section 152 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Destruction of Controlled Fish) Order 1996 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 31 May 1996.

3.   Interpretation

(1)  In this order "Act" means the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .

(2)  An expression in this order that is defined in the Act has the same meaning as so defined.

4.   Destruction of controlled fish

[Clause 4 Substituted by S.R. 2003, No. 123, Applied:15 Oct 2003] The Director is authorised to destroy controlled fish in either or both of the following manners:

(a) adding any, or any combination, of the following to the inland waters in which the fish are believed to occur:

(i) Rotenone;

(ii) Alphamethrin;

(iii) Endosulfan;

(iv) Calcium hydroxide;

(b) draining inland waters.
