Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 5) 2026
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 .

This order may be cited as the Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 5) 2026 .
This order takes effect on 1 October 2026.
In this order, the Administrative Arrangements Order 2025 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Administration of Enactments)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by inserting in Part 12 afterthe following items:
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
Building Act 2016
Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2009
Residential Building Work Contracts and Dispute Resolution Act 2016
(b) by omitting the following items:from Part 23 .

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Administrative Arrangements Order 2025 by transferring administrative responsibility for certain Acts from the Minister for Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs to the Minister for Housing and Planning.
