Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Amendment Order (No. 2) 2026
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 19(3) of the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals Act 1999 .

This order may be cited as the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Amendment Order (No. 2) 2026 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2020 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 5 amended (Major infrastructure project)
Clause 5(b) of the Principal Order is amended by omitting subparagraph (iv) .
5. Determination regarding alteration of order
The Minister has determined that this order will not alter the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2020 made by the Governor under section 7(2) of the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals Act 1999 to such an extent or to such effect that this order should be submitted to Parliament for its approval.

This order amends the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2020 by removing the reference to the construction and operation of an electricity substation at Staverton.
