Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2026
I make the following order under section 11(1)(f) of the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals Act 1999 .

This order may be cited as the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2026 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order Act means the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals Act 1999 ;Commissions draft assessment report means a draft assessment report prepared by the Commission in relation to impacts on any matters of national environmental significance resulting from the North West Transmission Upgrades Project;Commonwealth Department means the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
For the purposes of section 11(1)(f) of the Act, a period of 20 days after the Commission receives advice, identified as final from the Commonwealth Department in respect of the Commissions draft assessment report, is specified as the further period within which the Commission must grant or refuse to grant a permit for a use or development of the North West Transmission Upgrades Project.
The Major Infrastructure Development Approvals (North West Transmission Upgrades Project) Order 2021 is revoked.

(This note is not part of the order)
This order, for the purposes of the Major Infrastructure Development Approvals Act 1999 (a) provides for a further period within which the Tasmanian Planning Commission may grant or refuse to grant a permit for a use or development of the North West Transmission Upgrades Project; and(b) revokes a previous order that provided for such a period.
