Poisons (Adoption of Uniform Standard) Amendment Order 2025
I make the following order under section 14 of the Poisons Act 1971 .

This order may be cited as the Poisons (Adoption of Uniform Standard) Amendment Order 2025 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Poisons (Adoption of Uniform Standard) Order 2012 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 4 substituted
Clause 4 of the Principal Order is revoked and the following clause is substituted:4. Adoption of Uniform Standard
Schedules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the Uniform Standard are adopted as the Poisons List for the purposes of the Poisons Act 1971 .
5. Clause 5 amended (Interpretation of Poisons List)
Clause 5 of the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (h) in subclause (1) :(ha) a substance included in the table in clause 3 of Appendix B to the Uniform Standard when used in an area, sub-area or sub-sub-area of use specified in that table in relation to the substance; or(b) by omitting from subclause (3) "Schedules" and substituting "Poisons List".

This order amends the Poisons (Adoption of Uniform Standard) Order 2012 by –(a) updating the adoption of the Uniform Standard as the Poisons List; and(b) updating references to the interpretation of substances in the Poisons List; and(c) effecting minor statute law revision.
