Threatened Species Protection Order (No. 2) 2025
I make the following order under section 13(5) of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 .

This order may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection Order (No. 2) 2025 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 3 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are endangered)
Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by adding after item 21 in Subdivision 2 of Division 1 the following item:
21AA.
Hyridella narracanensis
(Cotton & Gabriel), Hyriidae
Narracan Corrugated Mussel
(b) by omitting item 40A from Subdivision 2 of Division 2 .
5. Schedule 4 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are vulnerable)
Schedule 4 to the Principal Act is amended by adding after item 4 in Subdivision 2 of Division 1 of Part 1 the following item:
4A.
Neophema chrysostoma
(Kuhl), Psittacidae
Blue-winged Parrot
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 by adding certain species to, and omitting a species from, the Schedules of endangered and vulnerable native flora and fauna.
