Threatened Species Protection Amendment Order 2024
I make the following order under section 13(5) of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 .

This order may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection Amendment Order 2024 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 3 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are endangered)
Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 4 from Subdivision 1 (Mammals) of Division 1 ;(b) by omitting item 1 from Subdivision 1 (Amphibians) of Division 1 and substituting the following item:

(c) by omitting item 27B from Subdivision 2 of Division 2 ;(d) by omitting item 8 from Subdivision 3 of Division 2 .
5. Schedule 5 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are rare)
Schedule 5 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 63 from Division 2 of Part 1 and substituting the following item:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 by –(a) adding certain species to, and omitting certain species from, the Schedules of endangered and rare flora and fauna; and(b) updating certain taxonomic, authority and common name references in those Schedules.
