Proclamation under the Electoral Disclosure and Funding Act 2023

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 2 of the Electoral Disclosure and Funding Act 2023  –

(a) fix 1 July 2024 as the day on which Part 1 and sections 5 and 180 of that Act commence; and

(b) fix 1 July 2025 as the day on which the provisions of that Act, other than Part 1 and sections 5 and 180, commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the proclamation)

(a) fixes 1 July 2024 as the day on which provisions relating to the appropriation of money for certain matters under the Electoral Disclosure and Funding Act 2023 commence; and

(b) fixes 1 July 2025 as the day on which the remaining provisions of that Act commence.
