State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 4) 2022

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Premier, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 4) 2022 .

2.   Commencement

(1)  Except as provided in this clause, the provisions of this order take effect on 1 August 2022.
(2)  Clause 4 takes effect on 31 July 2022.

3.   Amalgamations

(1)  The part of the Department of Communities Tasmania known as the Policy and Programs section of Communities, Sport and Recreation is amalgamated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
(2)  The part of the Department of Communities Tasmania known as Wellbeing, Strategy and Engagement is amalgamated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

4.   Revocation

The State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 3) 2022 is revoked.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 29 July 2022

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order –
(a) amalgamates certain parts of the Department of Communities Tasmania with the Department of Premier and Cabinet; and
(b) revokes the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No.3) 2022.
