I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 3) Amendment Order (No. 3) 2022 .

2.   Commencement

(1)  Except as provided in this clause, the provisions of this order take effect on 1 August 2022.
(2)  Clause 3 takes effect on 31 July 2022.

3.   Principal Order

In this order, the Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 3) 2022 is referred to as the Principal Order.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Administration of enactments)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting

DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITIES TASMANIA

Stolen Generations of Aboriginal Children Act 2006

from the column headings from Part 1 and substituting the following items:

DEPARTMENT OF PREMIER AND CABINET

Stolen Generations of Aboriginal Children Act 2006

(b) by omitting Part 26 and substituting the following Part:
PART 26 - Minister for Veterans’ Affairs

DEPARTMENT OF PREMIER AND CABINET

Ex-Servicemen's Badges Act 1967

5.   Legislation revoked

The Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 2) 2022 is revoked.

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order –
(a) amends the Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 3) 2022 by making the Department of Premier and Cabinet the department responsible for –
(i) the Stolen Generations of Aboriginal Children Act 2006; and
(ii) the legislation that is administered by the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs; and
(b) revokes the Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 2) 2022.
