Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2021
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2021 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Offences)
Division 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting "Motor bike" from column 3 of item 376 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "Motor bike, or quad bike,";(b) by omitting "Motor bike" from column 3 of item 377 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "Motor bike, or quad bike,";(c) by omitting "Motor bike" from column 3 of item 378 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "Motor bike, or quad bike,";(d) by omitting "motor bike" from column 3 of item 379 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "motor bike, or quad bike,";(e) by omitting "motor bike" from column 3 of item 380 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "motor bike, or quad bike,";(f) by omitting "motor bike" from column 3 of item 383 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "motor bike, or quad bike,";(g) by omitting "motor bike" from column 3 of item 384 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "motor bike, or quad bike,";(h) by omitting "motor bike" from column 3 of item 385 in Subdivision 43 and substituting "motor bike, or quad bike,";(i) by inserting after item 388 in Subdivision 43 the following items:

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 by –(a) including references to quad bikes in relevant provisions to reflect changes to the Road Rules in respect of quad bikes; and(b) prescribing two new offences, relating to quad bikes, for which an infringement notice may be issued under the Traffic Act 1925 .
