Fire Service Amendment Order 2021

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 14(8) of the Fire Service Act 1979 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Fire Service Amendment Order 2021 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Fire Service Act 1979 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Section 14 amended (State Fire Management Council)

Section 14(2)(i) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting "Forest Industries Association of Tasmania" and substituting "Tasmanian Forest Products Association".

This order is administered in the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the Fire Service Act 1979 by replacing a reference to the Forest Industries Association of Tasmania with a reference to the Tasmanian Forest Products Association.
