Proclamation under the Biosecurity Act 2019

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 2 of the Biosecurity Act 2019 fix 31 March 2021 as the day on which the following provisions of the Biosecurity Act 2019 commence:

(a) Parts 3 , 4 , 7 , 10 and 11 ;

(b) Division 3 of Part 2 ;

(c) Divisions 1 and 2 of Part 5 ;

(d) Division 1 of Part 12 ;

(e) Division 4 of Part 14 ;

(f) sections 74 , 76 , 226 , 227 , 228 , 229 , 231 , 239 , 240 , 242 , 243 , 256 , 257 , 258 , 259 , 260 , 261 , 262 , 263 , 269 and 275 ;

(g) Schedule 1 .

This proclamation fixes 31 March 2021 as the day on which certain provisions of the Biosecurity Act 2019 (being the remainder of uncommenced provisions of the Act, excepting sections 75 and 282 and Schedule 3 ) commence.
