Rail Infrastructure (South Line) Order 2021
I make the following order under section 49 of the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 .

This order may be cited as the Rail Infrastructure (South Line) Order 2021 .
This order takes effect on 5 February 2021.
In this order, the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 1 amended (The Rail Network)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by omitting item 5 from Part 1 and substituting the following item:5. The South Line (being the railway running from McVilly Drive to Western Junction, other than the part of that railway that forms, under the Strategic Infrastructure Corridors (Strategic and Recreational Use) Act 2016 , the strategic infrastructure corridor, known as the South Corridor from Elwick Road to Mentmore Street, designated on Plan 10597 in the Central Plan Register).
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the order)
This order (a) removes, from the rail network under the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 , the part of the South Line railway which forms, under the Strategic Infrastructure Corridors (Strategic and Recreational Use) Act 2016 , the strategic infrastructure corridor known as the South Corridor from Elwick Road to Mentmore Street; and(b) amends the definition of the South Line railway by designating McVilly Drive as the southern termination point of that railway.
