Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2020

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Police Offences Act 1935 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Police Offences Amendment Regulations 2020 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Police Offences Regulations 2014 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 7A amended (Identified organisations for purposes of section 6A(3) of Act)

Regulation 7A of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting from paragraph (e) "Henchmen." and substituting "Henchmen;";
(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (e) :
(f) the motorcycle club known as Nomads.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management.

These regulations amend the Police Offences Regulations 2014 by prescribing the motorcycle club known as Nomads to be an identified organisation for the purposes of the Police Offences Act 1935 .
