Rail Infrastructure (North-East Line) Order 2020

I make the following order under section 49 of the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Rail Infrastructure (North-East Line) Order 2020 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 27 March 2020.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (The Rail Network)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by omitting item 4 from Part 1 and substituting the following item:
4.   The North-East Line (being the railway running from Coldwater Creek junction to Lilydale Falls, other than the part of that railway that forms, under the Strategic Infrastructure Corridors (Strategic and Recreational Use) Act 2016 , the strategic infrastructure corridor, known as the North East Corridor from Turners Marsh to Lilydale, designated on Plan 10745 in the Central Plan Register).

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order is administered in the Department of State Growth.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order removes, from the rail network under the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 , the part of the North-East Line railway which forms, under the Strategic Infrastructure Corridors (Strategic and Recreational Use) Act 2016 , the strategic infrastructure corridor known as the North East Corridor from Turners Marsh to Lilydale, designated on Plan 10745 in the Central Plan Register.
