Duties (Concession Extension) Order (No. 2) 2019

I make the following order under sections 46B and 46K of the Duties Act 2001 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Duties (Concession Extension) Order (No. 2) 2019 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Duties Act 2001 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Section 46A amended (Interpretation of Division 2A)

Section 46A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting "30 June 2019" from the definition of eligible period and substituting "30 June 2020".

5.    Section 46J amended (Interpretation of Division 2B)

Section 46J of the Principal Act is amended by omitting "30 June 2019" from the definition of eligible period and substituting "30 June 2020".

This order amends the Duties Act 2001 by extending, until 30 June 2020, the eligible periods that apply in respect of a duties concession for specified first home buyers, or specified pensioners buying property, in certain circumstances.
