Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment (Safe Cycling) Regulations 2017
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment (Safe Cycling) Regulations 2017 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Offences)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omittingfrom Subdivision 1 of Division 2 of Part 1 and substituting the following note:

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2017 to (a) prescribe for the purposes of Part IVB of the Traffic Act 1925 certain offences under the Road Rules 2009 that relate to safe cycling; and(b) remove from the offences prescribed for the purposes of Part IVB of the Traffic Act 1925 certain offences under the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 that relate to the display of registration labels; and(c) correct some references to rules in the notes contained in Schedule 1 .
